Saturday, October 17th, will go down in the record books for a number of reasons. With over $16,500 raised during this year's event, the Rangers have helped gather over $45,000 to assist Marquette General Foundation and the Marquette General Hospital Cancer Center. Also, for the very first time in its history, the ice in Lakeview Arena was colored a deep pink to help set the atmosphere for this great event. And finally, over 2,471 fans showed up to watch the Rangers record another victory.
The success of this community event is directly related to a number of great sponsors. We wish to thank each of them for their support for this worthwhile cause:
Vango's
Pepsi
Big Boy
Charter Communications
Econo Foods
Hoover's
Ishpeming Community Federal Credit Union
mBank
Super One
Walmart
ShopKO
River Valley Bank
City of Marquette
"This game has really become a signature event for our club," said David Saint-Onge, President and General Manager. "It's been a great partnership with Marquette General and it benefits a great cause while teaching our young men a great lesson on community involvement. We only hope next year's event is bigger and better."
Please help us help others by supporting the "Paint the Rink Pink" next year.
